| Quantitative Economist Group Risk Management Within the unit Group Risk Management a vacancy has arisen for a Quantitative Economist. Responsibilities Group Risk Management (GRM) is a multidisciplinary unit with a wide range of responsibilities that include developing and maintaining tools and models for pricing, risk reporting, economics, capital allocation, rating development and analysis, automatic underwriting, and provisioning. The uniqueness of our product, combined with the size and heterogeneity of our portfolio, leads to very interesting analytic and modelling challenges. In order to meet these challenges and help Atradius achieve its goals GRM is seeking to recruit a quantitative economist to join its Economic Research team. GRM is seeking to recruit an experienced quantitative economist to join its Economic Research team. The department wishes to enhance its capacity to analyse the commercial environment and the business cycle in countries/trade sectors and to build quantitative models that capture the insolvency/credit risk outlook in major OECD economies. With regard to quantitative modelling, candidates should be specifically interested in validating, calibrating and developing models of countries/trade sectors. Previous experience of building and maintaining economics ratings of OECD markets would be an advantage. Expected From Candidate · Candidate need to be able to demonstrate an awareness of how global economic events impact upon the prospects of industries within the major economies of the world · Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of econometrics and display an understanding of practical issues in modelling · Well rounded personality · Ability to communicate is essential · Be able to work independently on research projects and to tight deadlines Knowledge / Education · Qualified to PhD or Masters level. Work experience necessary for Masters level and desirable but not essential for PhD level. · Valid work experience gained through a financial institution/government economics service/academia. · Excellent written and spoken English. Should have good, proven writing skills (in English). · Knowledge of a major European language would be an advantage.
