| Economist - Group Risk Management Within Group Risk Management a vacacy has arisen for an Economist. Responsibilities Group Risk Management (GRM) is a staff unit, responsible for various tasks which naturally fit within a modern risk management function in a financial institution. GRM’s responsibilities include developing and maintaining tools and models for pricing, economic research, capital allocation, reserving, automatic underwriting, and credit scoring. The uniqueness of our product, combined with the size and heterogenity of our portfolio, leads to very interesting analytic and modelling challenges. Working within GRM offers the opportunity to use and develop existing technical skills in a demanding, fast paced environment, which requires a dynamic, innovative and flexible approach. To support Atradius’ growth strategy and to help them run and further develop their proprietary tools, GRM is seeking to recruit economists to join the enthusiastic, committed, non-hierarchical, and international team. This team employs several people with an economic background. Depending on your preference you will be based in either Amsterdam or Cardiff, with the possibility of frequent international travel. Expected From Candidate This role requires an economist who is up-to-date on business/political/economic events, who appreciate the possible impact of such events on Atradius’ business and who is able to disseminate economic information to a wider audience ranging from the board level to members of commercial units. Knowledge / Education • A Master/ PhD in Economics (or Econometrics) • Sound knowledge of macro economic theory and econometrics and experienced in carrying out applied research • Interested in the more quantitative aspects of economic research.
