History More than 75 years of credit management experience. In late 2001, former Gerling Credit Insurance Group and international credit insurer NCM merged. This combination, known as GERLING NCM for a short period, was renamed Atradius on 1st January 2004. Both companies joined in Atradius, had a long tradition in the international credit insurance industry. NCM was market leader in the Dutch credit insurance industry since 1925 and a partner of the Dutch government since 1932. In 1954, family-owned company Gerling established the Gerling Credit Insurance Group.
